'The best deal for Members ever'That’s how NRMA President Alan Evans describes More4Members, our new loyalty program that offers Members enough savings to pay for their membership several times over.
NRMA is now in a position to offer Members more discounts than ever, using businesses it has launched and acquired, as well as long-standing partnerships.
With your new Member card, you can quickly and easily make savings with Thrifty Car Rentals, NRMA Holiday Parks, NRMA MotorServe, Travelodge Hotels, NRMA Travel, NRMA Safer Driving Schools and NRMA Car Loans, among others.
NRMA Group CEO Tony Stuart said the new program would focus on motoring and travel, but also extend beyond these core NRMA activities into new areas, such as home, lifestyle and online.
The new scheme is explained in our story on pages 38-39. Have a look and you will see that a typical family of four could save around $655 a year.
NRMA is also turning its attention to the big issues shaping our future. The Jamison Report, an NRMA initiative, challenges governments to reduce Australia’s dependence on oil by 50 per cent by 2050.
In a nutshell, the report says all levels of government must act now to ensure vehicles of the future are powered by bio-fuels, natural gas or clean electricity.
“The time for talk is over,” says David Lamb, a consultant on automotive technology and strategy and co-author of the Jamison Report. In our story on pages 28-30, he calls for action, saying further roundtables and summits will achieve little.
At NRMA’s Alternative Fuel Summit in 2006, delegates realised that action needed to replace talking. The Jamison Report is the roadmap NRMA is now offering Australia to secure a viable future for energy and motoring.
